WebApr 21, 2011 · “Incendies,” Denis Villeneuve’s film based on a play by Wajdi Mouawad, is a family quest narrative that takes place in Quebec and an unnamed country resembling Lebanon. WebIncendies is an incredible film, and arguably Villeneuve's masterpiece. It all feels so authentic, and so perfectly (and interestingly) structured as a puzzle-mystery that still delivers layer upon layer of emotional punch and themes. But I find the ending really misjudged on two counts: a) Its so hard to accept in terms of probability.
